My Story
Creative expression has always been an integral part of my life's journey. From learning crafts and ceramics in the 4-H Club as a child to delving into photography in high school, my passion for artistic expression has been a constant companion. Recently, I have immersed myself in the captivating world of watercolor painting, drawing inspiration from the serene beauty of nature and experimenting with cutting-edge techniques I've found in far-ranging sources. While I have typically gravitated towards naturalistic and realistic style, I expanded my artistic horizons by venturing into the realm of abstract art, resulting in a series of evocative pieces that are now proudly displayed in my online shop.

The pieces in my inaugural abstract series, titled Let's Have Fun, celebrate uninhibited creativity, intentionally left untitled to allow each viewer to form their own personal connection with the art. Created with meticulous care and utilizing professional-grade watercolor, acrylic, and ink on mineral paper (sourced from rocks, not trees), these pieces testify to my unwavering dedication to and love for my craft. The complete series is currently exhibited at T-Road Brewery in Crestone, Colorado during the months of October and November 2024, and every work is available for purchase on-site at the brewery and through my online shop.

I am eager to start work on my upcoming series, Returning to Myself, a visual narrative of my profound healing journey through PTSD. Each painting will express my personal triumphs and tribulations, inviting viewers to embark on an emotive artistic odyssey along with me. Stay tuned for updates on the progress of this new series, as I pour my heart and soul into this transformative artistic endeavor.

When I'm not creating art in my Tiny House studio, I spend my time immersed in the pristine wilderness of the San Luis Valley. My dog Bella and I often find tranquility as we rest in the hammock together.
